"Black" Trailer up on Lullskull.com.

Hey guys we are off and running making a movie here. Lullskull Ltd. is going to have a interesting new year this year, As we stop to honor 2007 and move sub-sonically into 2008 we can only drift and ponder life for a few moments. I think each human being has some kind of fabulous change/wish/resolution that seems to spark inside the mind around this time. For myself, I think I will ease into 2008 like a warm bath. I will enjoy, soothe and relax.

I wanted to send off a Blog to all the people that have being following our fandangos. We have gotten super supportive emails and some actual excitement for our next project in particular.

We are excited to have a new trailer for our short B l a c k

This is the first look at what we were trying to do in Oregon. We assure you the full length short will be out in not long at all. We have all agreed that shooting this last one on video has been such a pleasure because of the awesome turn around time to.Post –Production. It has been going fairly well on that front.

So I hope to hear your feedback and we will keep you updated as we go here.

Some pictorial goings on.

Hey there. Below I posted some images of the past year that I thought i'd blog over the lines to ya here. My notes are included as well. Hope all are well. -n

A scale model of John Rambo from First Blood caught my eye at this past years Comic Con International in San Diego. I love the sculpted hair.


These two lovely ladies caught my eye as well at the Con, but only for the reason that I might never see anyone else wear these costumes of Rachel and Zora from the movie Blade Runner. I'm pretty sure these girls were paid to dress up, as they were promoting the rerelease of the film at the Con pretty hamfistedly.


I thought this picture would be fun to include because it shows you exactly how tight our 15 plus hour van ride to Oregon was. We see Kathy (our adorable PA) with a small cut on her leg in the foreground. The cut was probaly from climbing in and out of the van. We have Robert and Seriina on either side flanking me and Jason in the front seats. Looks like we are in a moment of shuffling all the shit around in the van so someone can have the trade off of extra foot room. What a ride.


We also had a stow away... Our wonderful full body dummy "Chud" but I would never call him a dummy to his face, he was a killer with the ladies. This photo is of our last day and wonderful packing job we did.


I'll end the Oregon photos with this shot of Kathy. She made the most wonderful Avocado salads for us during production. Here is her working her particular magic on said avocado.


So towards the more restful times of September we celebrated Jason's Birthday. He was in high spirits! even though we blindfolded him and took him to a strange place (or so he thought) We later uncovered his eyes to the New Beverly movie theatre as the opening credits of The Karate Kid played to a full house. This may be the first time Jay will see this photo of himself with Seth and I and the friendly ticket booth lady (Notice her T-shirt)

The Forecast.

I thought it a good time to sit down and write a little blog here. The first bit of news is we have finished the principle photography on our next short “Black”. We shot over six days in Bandon, Oregon and as we expected the landscape and the locales we rented (and lived as a film boot camp) added so much to the project. We were blessed with a cast of wondrously talented and inventive people. The cast members (culled form both Los Angeles,Ca and Portland, Oregon) came together with such enthusiasm for the material that we all became collaborators in this intricate story. We will soon have a video documentary that will be available here via downloadable episodes. These episodes will detail every step of the way, from our previous trip to Oregon while location scouting, selected artwork I created for the film and all the way through to the final stress filled days. Keep an eye and ear out for them.

2007 News and Updates

Hello Everyone, This has been a long time coming I know. We have been pulling double duties as of the beginning of the year. Seth and I and our producer Jason have been designing the new Lullskull website and now we have fashioned the Hear Me Now Brother Blog to match. 2007 has also seen us continuing to promote and distribute our first short The Merciful Death of Jonas Blake which we expect to be playing in a few more festivals by the end of the year. The reactions to our debut short have been overwhelming positive and we can't tell you how much we appreciate all the wonderful words.

On top of all these things we are right in the middle of intense pre production on our next Short "Black" that we will be shooting in Oregon come September. We have started a fundrasing campaign for this short and all information regarding this is linked here: Fundable/Lullskull

We are indeed trying to push ourselves with this next short. We would love for you all to be apart of the next one in some way or form.

Videocast #008: "Guttenbitch!"

This is a music video we completed in early March that was done with Tim Coyne of The Hollywood Podcast. Tim, a longstanding friend of the show, approached us in early October about directing this supplement to his song about male sexual jealousy, and we found time in our schedule to make it happen for him. More information on the making of this video will be forthcoming in future audio podcasts. Also of note is the appearance of the venerable Dan Klass, whose podcast The Bitterest Pill, is a fantastic must-listen affair all around. In fact, I would say that if you listened to Hollywood Podcast, The Pill and HMNB in that order (because we are definitely the Return of the Jedi of that particular trilogy), you'd be getting a good dose of regularly scheduled L.A. Misery.

Anyway, tell us what you think of the video! Right now I can only put it up in iTunes format, but you can expect a higher quality streaming version this weekend. I'm really working hard on that! Also, petition Tim to get it up on You Tube. I want to vote on my own stuff shamlessly and often from multiple ip addresses. - Seth
