Forgotten Monsters is a Bi-Monthly portrait series that will feature a
movie monster from the past that didn’t quite get its due but still left
a lasting impression.
This month’s monster is the Interstellar
Hit Beast inspired by the 1984 film “The Last Starfighter” a science
fiction adventure film directed by Nick Castle. The film tells the story
of Alex Rogan (Lance Guest), an average teenage boy recruited by an
alien defense force to fight in an interstellar war.
The
Zando-Zans are a race of bounty hunters, who often work for the Kodan,
who refer to them as Extermination Emissaries. Centauri (Robert
Preston), on the other hand, refers to Zando-Zans as interstellar
hit-beasts. This fearsome alien is ruthless and a dead shot with his
sidearm, making it a perfect addition to this series!
